for integrating into a DAW, I would use the Classic Delay (free!) VST from Kjaerhus Audio.http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-delay.phpSet it on the 'old tape' preset to get an echoplex sound. Classic slap echo is 200 - 300 ms. I used to set repeats to zero, but that makes it sound to dry. a better setting is repeat/feedback at 15-25%p.s.
