I tend to agree about "never being done" with software samplers....I got Miroslav Philharmonik. Is it the best? nope...why did I get it? a nice cross-grade price from Sampletank and upgrading my recording chain was more important to me.My reasoning was, orchestral pieces are very new to me (I am a rock guy) and wanted to dip my feet in without going overboard. Now that I have played around with it, I kind of know what I can and cannot pull off with it. Since purchasing, I got a couple forwards with it, but I have not composed a full on "Orchestra" piece. If and when I have the time, I am REALLY looking forward to trying to do that. MIDI technique is probably equally as important as quality samples and I am sure I need some help in that area!I am sure down the road, I will be upgrading, but it suits my purpose for now.

We just have to be different and do it our own way here in good ol' USA! Mazz

Oh dear - I'm feeling really quite stupid. Having read some posts somewhere a while ago (not here) about "iMac" compatibility - it would seem that people were using the term too loosely.Having returned from planet Mars, it has suddenly dawned upon me that I do not even have an intel Mac! I've got a G5 processor.......so it would seem I will be o.k with or without cross-grades...It's not everyday you wake up and discover what computer you have!
