Kontact 3

I have loaded Kontack 3 into my intel mac and dully registered it with NI and I am just finding out how marvellous this sampler is and works.The problem is that when I load it via Logic 8 it wants to be re activated again!!!I wonder if any of you went through the same problem and might know the answer.I have send a message to NI but no reply as yet!Kind regardsTINO

Hey Tino!That good huh? That's good to know. I just purchased myself last week. Haven't had a chance to load yet. I can't be certain, but perhaps there's something goin' on in Logic that's causing the reactiviation. I use Sonar, a PC, and have 2 kontackt players, and I haven't had that kind of problem yet. Did you register online? Perhaps there was a missed step. Does it load up as a standalone player without any problems? Sorry I can't be of much help. Did you check the troubleshooting area online for NI? Maybe the answer lies in one of the manuals that come with the software. I don't know, just tryin' to throw some suggestions out there. Maybe check the installation disc, and see if there's any info on that. Maybe there's an upgrade that needs to be installed. So many possibilities.ibanez468

Hi Ibanez,thanks for replying.Yes I have registered on line.It loads up beautfully as a standalone without any problems.I am awaiting some answers from NI but no reply as yet!!

I just installed K3 on my intel mac. Aside from my Disc B having an issue loading in, the product itself worked fine. I had the same activation issue. I had to clean install the program again and then it worked fine.

Hey Tino,Just got thru loading Kontakt 3 last night. Got some really good samples in it. Seems to be working in Sonar and as a standalone. What I think Anne may mean is to uninstall Kontakt 3, and re-install it again? I'm only guessing though. Not sure what "clean install" means as far as macs go. Hope you're having better luck!ibanez468

Thanks ibanez,I have just done that but not joy.Works fine as a standalone, when I load it through Logic as VST instrument, he wants to be re-activate then whaterver work you do will not be saved, because every time you got to re-activate!!

tinozigzag,Have you downloaded the updates for Kontact 3? When I upgraded to 3 from 2 it was very unstable it Sonar 7. NI is notorious for releasing a product and fixing it after you've purchased it. There may be a fix or two in the updates addressing your issues.Chuck

Unother thing I found out yearsterday!If I open Kontact 3 with CUBASE everything works perfectly!!!
