Help! Revise music after submission???
Hi, Lets say you uploaded a piece for submission. It is ready for someone to review it. Then you realize that it is the wrong version. Can you remove that piece, revise it and upload it again without upsetting the system. Will the screener hear the new version, or am I tempting fate? If this can be done, will the deadline be a problem. Can the adjustment be made before or after the deadline?Thank you.Billy

The screener will hear the most recently uploaded version at the point they are screening it. Updating the file before the deadline is never a problem, because it hasn't been screened yet. You don't remove the original - use "Edit" to upload the new version of the file. You can still do it after the deadline, but they may have already listened to it. There's no way to know if its already been listened to, because all the Listing Results for a listing are sent out when all the submissions have been screened.

Your submission will be screened AFTER the submission deadline. There is no way to know WHEN it will be screened. After all submissions are reviewed, the results are sent out by email (if you submitted on-line) or by snail mail (if you mailed it in/dropped it off). The screeners listen to whatever is on-line when they go to review your song. Once the submission deadline has passed, there is no way of knowing when your piece(s) will be screened. If you update the mp3 after the submission deadline, then you run the risk of not knowing which version was screened. How to upload a new mp3 for a song already on your page: Sign in, go to 'My Music' & find the song on your song list and click on EDIT.HTH PS - you might find the FAQs here helpful. http://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?b ... 1192486086

Hi, Thank you paults and hummingbird. It worked. The deadline was Feb 8. I uploaded late last night and realized that I had one track muted. Nothing major, just a little seasoning in the mix. Hopefully they don't work on week-ends.Thanks again, Billy

Re: Help! Revise music after submission???
Whoa! some serious Deja Vu just came over me as if I have seen another post very similar to this one...hmmmm. OH!!..I remember now!....It was my own post on the same subject. To Byllsong: Tell you what I have done more than once was realizing that I am not completely satisfied with the song I am submitting and its one hour before midnight of the listing deadline! Oh !@#$%!!! I simply uploaded a raw version of the tune, made my payment with only a few seconds left on the clock (I kid you not!)...and it was accepted by the system! One time, I entered a wrong digit of my credit card and it kept denying my payment!! !@#$%^&!!! finally got it right and clicked the submit payment button as the clock struck 12 and it was still accepted! I don't know if anyone has noticed, but right at midnight of that deadline date that listing is removed from the boards. Anyway, my point was that I have gone back the next evening and finished the tune to where I thought I was happy with it and re-submitted an edited version. Not once but 2 more times after that evening!! (You know when you take your mix in your car and listen to it and you go, "Oh !@#t!! I gotta re-do it!!!) haha! I think it was a total of 4 uploads and 2 days after the deadline that I was done! And wouldn't you know that the screener was blown away by the tune and had nothing but good things to say about it and forwarded it as well!..haha! There ain't no way in hell that he heard the 1st 3 mixes of that tune because there were things that he commented on that I didn't even have in the fist 3 mixes. God I hope this makes sense to anyone...If Not and I read it after I post it, I'm not really worried because I can still go back and edit it before ANYONE READS IT!! HAHA!! TAXI HAS SOME COOL ASS FEATURES DONT THEY?? haha!!
