So I got my first forward today... have had a LOT of returns in my short time here, and was starting to get the shits a bit. haha. I submitted 2 songs to this listing:INDIE POP BANDS & ARTISTS a la Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Broken Social Scene, The Apples In Stereo, Neutral Milk Hotel, Elf Power, etc. are needed by an established Indie Record Label/Publisher. This label has a solid US and International presence and is truly focused on the independent musician & they cater to their specific needs. They're focused primarily on adding to their publishing catalog for Film/TV placements, Ads, Video Game placements and Indie Comp CDs. However, their label is quite successful and they are looking to add to their roster at this time. They're looking for bands and artists to sign to both publishing and record deals, so please don't forget to attach your PHOTO & BIO. Broadcast/Master quality is necessary, but excellent home recordings should suffice. Please submit 2-3 songs online or per CD, include PHOTO/BIO. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than August 27, 2008. TAXI #S080827IPAnd the first song was returned whilst saying that the chorus was not good, when i have had other reviewers say its the best part of the song. so i was ready to chalk it up as another return. I dont think i have got as low as 5's before either but I got a few here. Buuuuut the other song i submitted "Never Again" got through! Thanks to everyone on the boards here who suggested indie rock/pop for that song, otherwise i never would have sent it to this sort of listing!
