Post by augustheat » Wed Nov 14, 2007 7:54 pm

Greetings!Anyone have a EW collection they bought, but decided they don't need, use, or want? Would prefer Gold, but anything would be fine. Send me a private message.Blessings,

I believe that samples are not transferrable, particularly if they've been registered by the original purchaser. Best to check with East West (soundsonline.com) before you buy a used version. If you want to upgrade you might not be able to.There are some fantastic deals on new East West stuff right now, it would make more sense, IMO, to get it new so you are entitled to upgrades when they come out, not to mention official tech support if necessary.Sorry to rain on your parade but it's best to buy software legally, as I'm sure you know!Good luck,Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

So for just a couple hundred more than you're likely to pay for a "used" copy, you'd get a copy with no problematic issues attached to it. Their Silver bundle is also very good and it's something around $200.

Hey Guys!Didn't realize the deals were there...For the record, I wouldn't buy "illegal" software. You would be surprised how many software companies will transfer software to a new owner. I myself have done it, even with Apple software....Thanks for the info!...Blessings,

I wasn't implying that you were going to buy illegal software, just thought that you might not know about EW's policy. I know other companies allow it but reading the fine print ahead of time pays off in this case! It sucks not to have an upgrade path and/or tech support!Enjoy the orch. library, it is very nice!Mazz

They sell it for $500 these days, including the XP addition. Gold was $1000 when it came out, without XP, which is a great update.soundsonline.com
