What EWQLSO Gold Can Do

Post by ernstinen » Mon Oct 29, 2007 7:30 am

Hi Guys,I've read quite a few questions about EWQLSO Gold here, and I just finished an orchestral piece using mostly Gold (with other libs) entitled SOULS OF THE ANCIENTS. I posted more details down in "Self Promotion."I really worked on getting some emotion out of the strings with Gold. Tell me what you think! Here's the link:http://www.box.net/shared/d8ec4ff0nqBest Regards,Ern

Ern,This is a great piece and you really worked some magic with those strings!! I hear a lot of movement within the notes, you must have done a lot of tweaking of controllers!! The legatos are very nice. Great work! I forgot I was listening to a virtual orchestra!!Excellent!!Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Huge, man I'm blown away, the orchestration is thoroughly convincing. You must have a really big brain. Elser

Thanks so much for listening, Mazz & Elser! Yea, I tweak all the velocities manually in Performer. Takes a LONG time to get it how I want it, but I think it's worth it.Elser, I don't know a thing about brains, but I DO have a big hat size. When I took a performance driving course last spring, they handed me a S/M helmet. I laughed and said "No, I think a little bigger." I ended up with an XL. LOL! Best Regards,Ern

Pretty impressive there Mr Ern. VERY enjoyable as both a listener and musician. Dave
