Protools 7.1 includes some free plugins with their program, specifically EQII / EQIII and Bombfactory. I have a PT file that is calling for those when opening the files. Since I have 7.3 I have different plugins. I click throught the warning screens but then when the project opens, all of the tracks that those were called up on do not load. Does anybody have a work around for this, or the older versions of the plugins that they can send along to me?Thanks in advance - Anne

Re: Protools help needed on opening a project
Hey Anne,Hmmm... What do run a Mac or PC? Usually when I run into that problem (Plug-in Missing or not found) I click through until the project is open. Then assign plug ins as necessary. I have not seen a case where the files would not load. The actual audio files may be corrupted or missing. Check the folder where the files are and see if anything is missing. If all the files are there and you are good at cutting and pasting and consolidating files... Open a new session and import the files one by one and recreate the song. In the future you may want to save different versions of your files. IE Song_ A_ Dry_Mix = No PluginsSong_A_PlugIn_Mix = File saved with pluginsThat way if you ever run into a problem, you can start over.Or, you may get lucky and someone has the plugins....Hope this helps... 77

Re: Protools help needed on opening a project
I did go to digidesign's site and found where I could download the old free plugins and they worked after I reinstalled my older version of protools. I'm glad I had the old version around!
