Changing channels on multiple MIDI notes in Sonar
If anyone can help me with this Sonar question, I'd appreciate it.I want to change the MIDI channel setting on multiple notes at once. I can do this for an individual note by right-clicking on it, but it's a huge pain in the arse to do this note by note.Anyone? Anyone?

YOu should be able to lasso them or select a group with the control key and then do them all at once.

Re: Changing channels on multiple MIDI notes in So
A helpful soul on the Cakewalk forum showed me the light. The problem wasn't in selecting them; it was in the fact that there was no option for changing the channel for all the notes at once - the dialog box only opens for one note at a time. There's an Event Inspector toolbar I didn't know about that will let you make this change - in case anybody out there has the same problem.

Lasso the events and then use the SONAR's Interpolate command to change the channel (and only the channel) of the selected notes. Dang, that's a little obscure, isn't it! 99% of the time I just force the notes to the desired channel in the Track View, although that's not exactly the same as what you're asking.-djh

No, no... sorry, I was referring to your "Sonar Capabilities" comment. By keeping your advice private, it suggests that you might have had some criticisms there.-djh
