Something that I did when my tele was giving me the blues with noise was to change to a flat panel monitor and quit using the crt monitor as it makes almost any electric guitar noisy. if you are recording with a computer and an old crt try turning off the crt and see if your guitar cleans up. also I have found the same problem with art tube preamps I have to face away from them when I record as they create hum. Food for thought

Check out Kinman pups at www.kinman.com. You'll get Fender sound (MUCH better than stock), but without Fender hum. You'll still have to get your guitar properly set up, though as Kinmans won't fix intonation problems. I got a set for my Strat, and have no regrets- even though they're expensive. Kinman is an Australian company, but don't hold that against them. They have mp3 samples on their site, so take a listen.

Checked out the Kinman site. Since I love my Joe Barden's I'm very interested in trying the custom made Kinman's. The pickup info makes this site a must read for serious guitar pickers. thanks for the tip bruce,bc

I got the Tele back a couple weeks ago.... posting a picture or two and an MP3 sample to my page is on my list of things to do..... It came out real sweet, and I am really liking the new quiet pickups.... and the new tuners hold the string in tune like a martin acoustic.... bug me a little and I'll get around to the pics and MP3....ArkJack
