Everyone has really answered your post quite well. As a more specific suggestions, after tweaking/removing the compression, if it still sounds thin, try boosting 100-300 Hz on the snare drum with a pretty narrow Q (bandwidth) setting. Move the frequency up and down to find the appropriate setting, but you'll find a spot in that range that will really fatten up the drum.Cheers,Justin
