What does it cost to submit songs to Taxi other than a membership fee?

Quote:What does it cost to submit songs to Taxi other than a membership fee?$5.00 per song. There is a three song limit for each listing. I used to submit the maximum three tracks to everything under the sun and my submission costs skyrocketed. I sometimes send three songs if I feel they're all strong, but I've become a little more selective with the listings and also with what I submit so that I still have a decent forwarding percentage while keeping my budget in check. I say that because I think it's better to be a long-term member as opposed to a member that burns out their lifetime music budget in their first and only year. Nobody wins that way. Dave

As someone who's staring up the vertical learning curve, for me its worth submitting three each to listings that look appropriate because the critiques that are coming back from screeners are worth lots more than the $5 submission fee. Later, yes, I'll probably want to be more selective but by then the music style, approach and level of professionalism should have responded. But education always costs, one way or another, and it's obvious to me that this is no longer "amateur hour", much as it pains me to admit it....

You know, in hindsight mine was the exact same situation but I hadn't thought of it that way recently until you mentioned it. No doubt that submitting a lot of material and getting a lot of critiques was extremely important in getting me pointed in the right direction.
