Re: Tascam 144 / Cubase LE Help!
Ah, my component level days were with Macintosh tube stereos and such. I thought transistors When real amps used 6L4s. I have to laugh about preamps boasting about having a real 12AX7 tube for that classic sound. Especially since we used two 12AX7s in push pull cause it was a cheap way to get around some of tinny sounds a single tube made with any gain (A/B or so)!

That was a little before I got into it, but we had to cover that sort of stuff. My amplification circuits didn't glow unless they were overloaded Shame though. I like the old tubes. There are specialist dealers out there that still sell them. For some reason, I just remembered the fun I used to have blowing up capacitors!!
It's been said that I have Murderous eyes.

I made a radio when I was a Cub Scout with a crystal of some kind and wire wrapped around a toilet paper tube. Listened to Johnny Rabbit ("tell the Rabbit and he'll blab it) on KXOK, when you could hear Motown and Nashville back-to-back on the same station. We din' need no stinkin' capacitors!
