I agree with the "many hats" statement...when I record, I engineer, mix, and then master everything that goes out to a listing.

Always start with the end in mind. From first tracks to final sweetening on the production side...it has to be the best you can do...same with melody & lyric...rewrite until it is the best it can be.

Nothing substandard will get past the screeners at TAXI or at the record companies..... there's just to much really good stuff out there these days for them to accept run of the mill stuff.
