All this time (nearly 18 months now), I've believed that this whole thing was just a great idea out of YOUR (Vikki's) head. There is a website for this?? Amazing. so, considering I only read the opening post on this thread, this may well be a absurdly redundant question, but...How do I find this site? Do I go to "February is Album Writing Month".com? FAWM.com?Rather than embarrass me here in public (something I figure I've already done enough on my own) any further, PM me with this info, if you would. Thanks.(Y'all forgive me...but I've just watched a friend of mine go from fine to looking weird to starting to cry to grabbing the right side of her head to collapsing onto the floor and going into seizure. I'm a little freaked out, and probably am trying to distract myself right now. I promise, I really AM interested in the answers to the questions I posted here.)Ted Sign up here:http://fawm.org/Look me up and "follow" me here:http://fawm.org/fawmers/vikkiflawith/hope your friend is okay

FAWM is great. I did my first one in 2008, then they have another challenge from July to Oct called 50/90 - 50 songs in 90 days. I succeeded both last year and busy doing FAWM this year too.In fact its the only time I really spend writing songs. I spend the rest of the time recording them. FAWM & 50/90 are totally to thank for me being able to write a quantity of songs I could only dream about before. I pretty much like all that I have created during those challenges and it is a great community there too.My profile is here: http://fawm.org/fawmers/boyatheart/

Month is officially more than half over-time for a progress report?

(and I haven't written anything with lyrics for years so that is kind of fun. I was inspired by the other songs I heard at the FAWM web site. Now I just have to add music and record them...) You can listen to my pieces/ read the lyrics here...Midsummersnight http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... 7299231You Were Never Mine http://fawm.org/songs/716/Let's Dance (Like We Used To Do)http://fawm.org/songs/1677/The Bitter Breakup Songhttp://fawm.org/songs/1684/The Unknown (which is also posted here on peer to peer)http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... D=7322346I am a little behind since I have only done 5 songs so far and the rest of the month is kind of crazy (5 performances with two different orchestras + scoring a documentary) but hopefully I have time to write some more... Either way FAWM has inspired and motivated me to write more than I would have otherwise - and that is something!~ Lydia

I haven't even signed up with FAWM yet, but this thread has inspired me to the point of two new instrumentals and two new sets of lyrics. wooHOO.Hopefully, I'll be able to post them up after the month is over (heading into the studio on Mar. 11th...)
