Quote:Didn't McCartney write "No Matter What" by Badfinger? Sure sounds like his style! I love that record, especially the heavier guitar sounds and the vocals.Ern Pete Ham wrote and sang that Ern.They were one of my favourite bands, and that's one of my favourite tracks of all time. Great sound!McCartney did write "Come and get it".And as for trivia:"The name Badfinger was suggested by Apple's Neil Aspinall as a reference to "Bad Finger Boogie", an early working title of Lennon/McCartney's "With a Little Help from My Friends", alleged by Neil Aspinall that Lennon had composed the melody on a piano using his middle finger, after having hurt his forefinger".

Yeah, I was a big Badfinger fan. Pete Ham committed suicide in 1975, as did guitarist Tom Evans in 1983. A sad end to a great band.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badfinger

It has a nice walking & jogging trail around the lake and paddle boating. When I first met my wife (from Philly), she used to come up on weekends and we often went to that park. Nice memories... CaseyI know that park very well. I used to live on the Bloomfield Ave. side of the park. I did some jogging and walking there as well.I now have a good idea the location you're talking about. My parent-in-laws live in Caldwell in the Spring/Summer. Next time I'm driving through Verona I'll try to remember to check it out.As they say, "It's a small world!"If you're wife is from Philli and she likes football, I'm guessing she saw/liked "Invincible" - the Vince Papale story. I'm not an Eagles fan, but I love the Philli flavor the movie presents. As you know, folks from Philli are special in their own unique sort of way.Recently while discussing how tough the Eagles fans are on their players, Cris Carter (former Eagles receiver) said that during his rookie season, his first game (had yet to play a down), while walking on the field he was booed by the fans simply because he was new.GB

Badfinger. Blast from the past. They were really big for a while. I liked them as well. The Wikipedia photo reminds me of just how much big hair was going on in those days. What they call long today, is short by those standards.GB
