Golden Brown. Is that up tempo enough? And it's only 3:4 in parts... but I still love this one. It rocks my boat.Raags

When I used to HAVE to play weddings for $$ I sang that TOO many times! What a piece of crap. It was so embarrasing to sing that schlock! Made me hate Lionel Ritchie forever (well, maybe "hate" is too strong a word, but ---

The Beatles, "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away". It's groovy.

I don't know if it is my favorite, but I like El Paso by Marty Robbins.

El Paso is one of those weirdly hypnotizing songs. I still sing it to this day although I'm not sure why. I love the opening lines, maybe.

How about "Mr Bojangles" and "Piano Man"? "My Favorite Things", Coltrane's version, of course!! "Alice in Wonderland", and don't forget the great Bill Evans' "Waltz for Debby".Just thought of another one "Never Never Land", incredible Lydian melody."Tenderly", another beautiful song."Fly Me to the Moon" was originally written as a waltz but I prefer Sinatra/Basie's 4/4 take on it.Cheers,Mazz

Hey,I agree with MAZZ " My Favorite things"- I actually like the Dave Brubeck/ Paul Desmond version..We always did Norwegian Wood as a jazz waltz ( does a swinging 6/8 count?)Bob
