Steve Gilbert/Billg forward
This is a song that was the by-product of another track Steve & I were working on and it's now 3 for 3! It was originally an instrumental for an "ala" Booker T. & the MGs listing & I added lyrics & vocals just as sort of an after thought. Glad I did. I think Steve & I should be working on some more "ramshackle" blues tunes! (Oh yeah, it was forwarded for the instrumental listing too so I guess it's really 4 for 4 . . . that's a first for me for sure!)Just modified 8/18. You guys must think I'm insane but I had linked to the WRONG SONG originally. I have no idea how I did that. Thanks Dean, your lyric comment alerted me!http://www.billgaunce.com/song/18

Very nice, guys. It has a really cool feel, very natural. And Bill, I love your Dylan-esque singing style.Steve

Love the performance as much as the song itself. My favorite part is the character and attitude that is delivered in the lines:"I'll sit back in a big ol' houseSmoking a cigarAnd when I get the urgeGo drivin' in my carBut until I get my payoffCan you spare a little change?"Made me smile
