I switched "In America" over to Folk at Soundclick. She debuted at #2 out of about 7,100 songs. Be better if it was out of 7,100,000 songs, but I'll take it.

Walter,I love the guitars in this. A really great sounding, polished production. One observation- just wondering if the drums sounded a little 'over-compressed' to anybody else? I use quotes there as I don't have enough prod chops to say it's compression for certain... They seemed to be lacking some of the high end my ears were expecting. Damn presumptuous ears!!Also- whoever is singing did a fine job for you!

"First time I heard "In America" I was struck by all your symbolism in and imagery in that song....'their blood is in the soil and in this heart of mine' is just a GREAT line. I don't tell you that I like "In America" just to be nice....it is a KILLER song. Whether you are conservative, liberal or moderate, In America is so well written.... it strikes a chord with everyone....heck, hehe, Lee Greenwood's "I'm Proud To Be An American" doesn't even compare."Nice compliment. Alright!! I made the first moolah from "In America"! My Mom's best friend wanted a copy, so I sent her one. I got $20 in the mail a couple of day ago!! So, there is money to be made in the music business after all!! lol

Well, Walt, I'm glad I could help....I really meant every word of this too...."In America" is a GREAT song.....I believe it would appeal to everyone. I admire good use of imagery, and you got that down pat. You could use my quotes on a website where your song is being pitched, hehe.....but I'm not a famous songwriter, so no one would probably care.....now, if I was Jason Blume or something. Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner.....my presence on the boards is more sporadic these days, but I still try to keep up with y'all. Glad you made your first profits on your song....remember, it's only the beginning! I'm also glad that lady wants to perform the song in her church.....when you get people wanting to sing your song like that, of course, others will follow....that song is going to be placed one day....no doubt about it.
