I've never thought about it really....like Squids, I guess any movie that pays. I've pitched mainly to artists, but I know that getting a song placed with one of those guys is next to impossible, so I'm trying to write material that's more film friendly as opposed to artist friendly now. Not that getting in film is easy...it's very hard, but I think artist pitches may be the toughest, especially that dang country high bar!

hey chits, I have a few friends who target mainly artists, and I just noticed, no one told me, most times how they land em, is a production company scoops it up for a song book, and then when an artist is stuck for a song, theyll flip through and pick one or two to flush out the album, just a thought

So, "anything that pays", we've already established. As an elaboration, I'd say "anything that pays AND becomes this monster blockbuster with a HUGE international following that will continue paying for the next 50 years AND does not star Tom Cruise", but that may be overly ambitious. How about a light-hearted romantic comedy directed by Scorsece? Too vague?

yeah, land a movie like the wizard of oz, that would be amazing, even if you got screwed on the deal, your music would haunt everyone

What Vikki said.....also churches, fundraisers, the 'house' circuit (don't you have those over there? House concerts? People invite bands to play at their place, then do a cover charge and some PR to get people to come. It's kinda new here but it's catching fire)......and the list goes on.As far as how much you make, well, the more you play, the more you make. Get those muscles up and runnin, swee'pea, time to haul gear! Yeehaw!!

Sorry about that, brief moment of "AGHHH" - like when you're dunking your favorite biscuit in a cup of tea and the bloody thing slops into the cup! Going back to the original question...I think the soundtracks to the Shrek movies are absolutely awesome! If they're making Shrek 16 when I get my music out to the world I would very much like it to feature in the film!!!

I always just gulp the tea to go after the cookie, but thats just meyeah, I miss performing myself, I got hit by the nastiest streak of stage fright i have ever seen, out of the blue, after 3 years of performing regularly, though theres a lot of x factors that boil down to that actually making sense, it doesnt make it any less frustrating, It's a constant battle for me now, one of the reasons I train and study so much, I figure the higher I can make my skill level, the less I can doubt myself, building my confidence kind of
