If you listen to the two versions of Kodachrome (I had both) you will hear a difference in the lyrics. I am not a legal guy, but I can tell when the lyrics change. Maybe Paul did it cause he is such a nice guy, but I wouldn't know that either.Just passing it along.

I am not a lawyer, but, I'll toss this out there...It all depends on context. If a particular phrase is TRADEMARKED, then you can't use it without permission. Copyright infringement can also apply in some cases. With trademarks it's mostly context. That being said, I don't think the Superman thing is a big issue, but if you're concerned, you can always call up for general consumer info and say that you were thinking about writing a song with the word superman in it to see if it's a problem. I doubt they're going to say it is, especially with as many songs as there are out there using it as well.

Dave, You are assuming that large corporations act in their own enlightened self interest. If someone in the corp could get credit for Simon doing it, well that would be different.
