THANKS/ ZOOM/ BIRD/ QUIRKY FLY'S
WELL GUY'S.....I'm learning one thing here at the forum....When the big dogs give u a tip or some advice, u know it's a winner !! The track TERROR ISLAND That I sent for a couple of listings got forwarded for QUIRKY. When the BIRD said on my post that this piece was just right for quirky and then ZOOM second it, I remember saying something stupid like..Are u sure guy's?? This is about as quirky to me as a bomb or something like that...But guess what..I listened...And I submitted... And guess what..FORWARD...FORWARD... .and here's what the screener said..john,hello. thanks for sending in the music. the epic track is full of sounds stomping through a hypnotic groove sprinkled with subtle motifs and jazzy lines intertwined over a single chord. wow! how'd you do that? nice job. the piece has plenty of spots for edits to pull out short gems that will also work for placement. the vibe of the music is quirky but strong and could lend nicely to a variety of placement opportunities. go ahead and edit some 30 & 60 sec. cues to be ready as the shape of your sound will cause requests for more music. keep writing and good luck!So I say thanks again for all the help......Jayman..

N-I-C-E It takes a while for these "experience" things to manifest themselves but that's the most valuable learning tool. BTW, pay special attention to the part of the critique where it says "the piece has plenty of spots for edits to pull out short gems that will also work for placement". Re-listen to your piece with that in mind and use that as a guide for future tracks you write. Having a piece where there's defined sections, where an easy edit can be made out of those sections is very valuable to placement people. Congrats!Dave

TINO....NO KIDDING DUDE....I would have never sent this piece in for the quirky listing if ZOOM & VIK wouldn't have mention it fit...If u listen to the quirky songs that got forwarded, u will be startiled that this song fits the genre...I now I am...So I no it's gonna take a lot more exsperiance on the forum to figure out this listing stuff...It ANI'T EASY....But with the help of the big dogs ..We should get bye...THANKS EVERY BODY FOR YOUR TIME ...JAY... OH!! DAVE JUST POPED IN...I WILL DO THAT .. My Most Precious teacher...
