Favorite Rhyming Monstrosities

Post by vermeer » Wed Feb 13, 2008 1:37 pm

Listening to demos and commercial songs all over the web, I often stumble upon some very interesting rhyming monstrosities:o "I'm on fire" "With desire"o "Rainy days never says goodbye" "To desire when we are together"o "You're all I Need" "I'm on my knees"OK, so what's the worst you've seen? - Vermeer -

Alan Jackson's "Like Red On A Rose" where the lines are:And I love you like all little children love penniesAnd I love you like good times of which I've known manyIt appears the songwriter (Jackson didn't write this one) just had to find a word to rhyme with 'many' so he chose "pennies" randomly or something.I love Alan Jackson's music, but that was not my favorite song of his.
