Suggestions for Newbies

Post by jchitty » Thu May 31, 2007 10:02 am

Some newbies have complained about getting ignored. Here are the following suggestions for making sure you get responses.1. Make a post about Mel Gibson, The Dixie Chicks, Don Imus, Global Warming, Gas Guzzling Cars, How the Republicans are responsible for the budget deficit, how the Dems are responsible for the demise of those old pop top soda cans and Covairs, etc. 2. Make sweeping generalizations about 'old people' in the biz, etc.3. Bash TAXI, bash TAXI some more, and bash TAXI again....come on and make amends and then bash TAXI all over again.4. Post a pic of a 23 year nubile female....make your screen name something like, 'Bambi in Boston', and then ask everyone to listen to and critique your songs.....this might work, even if the reality is you're a 52 year old male named Jake who works in the trucking industry.5. Tell people you are Michael Laskow's pool boy .Anyone else got any suggestions?

Committing a sizable sum of money to forum members who reply would probably be incentive.....

Um. Make 500 posts in just over a month Have a thick skin, and not run away at the slightest hint of negativity. Have a good sense of humour. Be stunningly attractive. Have a voice like an angel. Make music like the gods. Oh dear. This is beginning to sound a bit like a lonely hearts ad. Truthfully though. There are only two things I think you require. Those are humility and patience.

I'm too good to develop humility, and I don't have the time to develop patience!

Quote:I'm too good to develop humility, and I don't have the time to develop patience! I'm sure I am far more humble than you, but I don't have the patience to figure out if I'm any better. I am sure that these are the very qualities that allow JD to flourish on this forum.Oh and irony. Don't forget irony. Say something ironic, Jake.

First a book deal, then the cover of National Enquirer, then your own stint on a reality based celebrity TV show! No publicity is bad publicity.
