Re: What to pack?!?
So what about cds for the random picks? Do they have to have one song on them?Or can you specify a cut if the cd gets picked?Eb

If it's a song, include lyric sheet. (Tip: I always bring elastics to put around my CD & lyric sheet; and sticky's or a note to insert into the case to indicate which song should be played.)

If the hotel checkout time is late morning or early afternoon, and Rally activities are still going on, where do people keep their stuff (suitcases, etc.)? Do we carry our bags and stuff around with us during the day? RichardHey Richard-- I believe you can check out of your room, bring your suitcases down, and have the hotel hold your suitcases until you depart that day. Ask at the front desk when you arrive to be sure (I've done this at many hotels I've stayed in, just not this one, but I'd be surprised if they didn't.) See you soon! Now I feel like I need to be more focused (In addition to meeting people, fun, etc.. !) RichYeah, Rich-- this is something that I love to do for fun. And really anything IS possible to dream up, anytime. And especially when you get all the energy together at these Rally events. Dream it up, and walk into the Rally with the feeling that it's already happening for you. And watch to see what unfolds. Fun! Looking forward to seeing you this year! Raags

Re: What to pack?!?
JoeIf you unfinished works, like mazz said, don't hand them out to market yourself. However, definitely take a few CDs with those tracks, along with lyric sheets, to use for any mentor meetings and... many classes on songwriting, etc. allow the audience to submit CDs to the front for the instructor to play and comment on some audience songs. So they are very good to have. Also bring rubberbands. The standard method for handing CD's to an instructor is to fold up a lyric sheet and attach it to the CD with a rubberband.Hope to meet you!CaseyPS Check out this thread. Not all may apply but it's my current checklist: http://taxi.proboards.com/index.cgi?boa ... read=16476
