My 2008 Road Rally Notes

Post by partyofone » Sat Jan 31, 2009 3:12 pm

Hi fellow passengers,I took copious notes during last years Rally which was my first so I wanted squeeze every little last drop out of it. I actually transcribed them into my laptop on the flight home and have been meaning to post them but just keep procrastinating. So without further adieu here is a link to a zip file containing all my notes for following classes and panels:- Advanced Record Prodcution with Rob Chiarelli (both sessions)- A&R Panel 1 and 2- Beat Meets Melody- Better Arrangement Decisions for Better Sound Recordings- Fear Factor- Film Factor- Film & TV Panel 2- How to Record Vocals Like a Studio Ace- Mixing for Humans in a Computer World- No Rules, Just Tools- Producer Panel- Production for Artists and Songwriters- Shortcuts to Hit Songwriting for the Pop and Country Markets- The Top Three Songwriting Tools the Pros Use with Jason Blume- TV Film Panel- Writing for American Idol with Jason Blumehttp://pleasurejunkie.net/road_rally_2008.zipI apologize for any typos or vagueness but I didn't have a laptop and was taking them with pen so some ideas may be a bit condensed. ;-)Well, anywho if anyone has any other notes please let me know because I missed several classes (like Derek Siver's) and would like to have notes if possible.

Cool Marc, no problem. Hope you get something out of it. I also attended a Jason Blume songwriting workshop here in Nashville yesterday which I'll post my notes for.
