imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

OOPS! Somehow I deleted the post that started this thread. It should have read:(A good time was had by) ME and Mr. Christi (aka Grant). Thanks all for making this so fun and memorable. We had a blast.I didn't know I could still stay up so late and function the next day. (At least I thought I was functioning)! Mazz great to meet you and your wife as well.

And Mazz looked dapper in his "Mazz" hat. Couldn't miss him. hehehe.Michael Laskow even recognized my forum name... that was very special and flattering.Steve à Gilbert was always there sharing his huge personality, and Liam Kelly flew in from Barcelona. Crs7string was there smiling all the time, and BigBlueBarry larger than life & talented as anything. There was Hummingbird and Raags lighting up the room. I saw Nomiyah play and sing like a star at an open mic. Andreh finally showed up looking good in his outrageous sideburns. Dave Walton was everywhere and we had lunch with Adrienne & Heinsite. I met Jeff Greenleaf, Anne, Tim W, CK Barlow, Bob Mete, Dean Krippaehne, Aub Delane, Matto, Weapon, Kelly Green, Jazz Stan, Ernstinen, Tedsingingfox, Trent Oliphant, Vicky The Bassplayer, Tom Aragon, Hazineju, Kurt Kreimier, and on & on & on! I'm getting dizzy trying to remember all the faces and great conversations so I've gotta stop there!I guess all I'm trying to say is it was truly wonderful to have the privilege of getting to know some of the coolest, sharpest, most outstanding humans anywhere! Thanks from me to you (and you, and you, and you....).Gratefully,Allen

Back to the real world... tired but happy. So great to have met all of you -- what a difference from last year, when I wasn't a forum regular and didn't stay at the Westin. In all honesty, I got more "serious content" last year in terms of class and panel attendance, but reaped massive rewards from the communal aspect of this year's experience. And unlike Ted I made it home with all of my own... er, garments and none of anyone else's.OK, I'm so sleepy that while typing this I glanced up at AllenDS's signature and misread "spark" as "spank" -- but doesn't that work just as well? LOL!!And isn't that Schweitzer quote so dead on for the Rally? (spark or spank, either way!)Oh, can I just make a general announcement that Anne is one of the sweetest people ever? I arrived Friday ailing from some weird headcold/migraine/nausea thing that lasted til I passed out that night - and I slept thru thanks to her brilliant provisions of Benadryl and instant oatmeal, the only thing I could stomach. By mid-Saturday I was practically myself again. In fact I'm sure Steve a Gilbert noticed the quickened pace of insults and profanity that I hurled his way compared to Friday, which is a positive sign on the CK-ometer.Anne, you are an angel. And Steve, well, we all know who you are. Heh heh.
