Here's what a friend sent to me recently:“A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the herd is hunted, the slowest and weakest ones are killed first . This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because of the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.” RaagsI like your goat story much more than this one. Chuck

Once I get started, the energy begins to flow and and hour or two later I've actually accomplished something.I know personally that by "fighting" to find the time and energy to write and record it energizes my professional life.(This is just a kind and gentle kick in the butt, I can be less kind and less gentle if I need to be) Chuck

Quote:(This is just a kind and gentle kick in the butt, I can be less kind and less gentle if I need to be) ChuckChuck - you're a good coach! It also helps to remember the last time you did that thing you're currently dreading doing. Probably if you remember, once you got started, it was way easier and much less painful than you thought it would be in anticipation. So, if you're thinking, "I'm too tired" - just remember how energized you got last time. If you're thinking, "this is going to be hard." Remember that last time, it wasn't as hard as you thought it would be.Remember - FEAR - false expectations appearing real...Your coach,Debra

It helps energize me to have TAXI listings that I really want to nail. I'm getting up at the you-know-what-crack of dawn to bang out a montage for the trailer listing. I don't like getting up early in the morning on non-day-gig days but hey, writing music is my other day gig (my main day gig!!!) and I'll burn that baby at both ends to land a composing gig!!!!I'll do whatever it takes if I want it enough.I added a new mantra to my signature: Inspiration is overrated. Just get in and start, one note at a time!!!!Great to see everyone at the Rally..........lots of love in that hotel!!!!Mazz
