TIPTOE

Post by cyndy » Wed Jul 16, 2008 3:48 pm

Haven't been around the forum for a couple of months cause I've been in the process of relocating from Oklahoma to Seattle (traded places with the Sonics... oops.)But I wanted to spread encouragement today by sharing the news that my little 60-second clip called "TIPTOE" was just forwarded for this posting...GREAT SOUNDING INSTRUMENTALS IN A VARIETY OF STYLES are needed by a Production Music Library that focuses on placements in Video Games, Corporate Sites, etc. This is a very immediate need as they will be launching their new site very soon and would like to have several new tracks to feature to their long list of clients. This company will also be running regular listings, but if you’d like to be on the site at the point of launch - submit here as well! They need everything from Dramatic/Action/Comedic/Scientific/News Instrumentals to Electronica/Techno (light and more driving) Instrumentals. This one is wide open and the primary criteria will be the strength of the performance and the quality of the recording. Here it is: http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=true Hope everyone's doin' well !!

Congrats! I must agree that the title fits very well to the song! I love the staccato strings finger pickering! It feels that many of us got forwarded to this one! Me too.

Thank you... orest, lq, and chits!!!I have to tell you the story behind "Tiptoe" ...This piece was created shortly after I'd joined Taxi in January of this year. I didn't have the foggiest idea what I was doing in the recording phase of this. Didn't have good speakers... no headphones, etc. What a joke!! But I was so excited to have just joined Taxi, and I absolutely KNEW I could create fantastic stuff that Taxi would just love. (LOL)I threw caution to the wind and sat down to let my creativity flow and flow and flow. Had a blast doing it.... but needless to say, 98% of what I "created" during that phase was sent back to me by screeners who were obviously familiar with the song "Return To Sender."BUT...this little piece survived. And when I listen to it now, I'm absolutely shocked that it came out like it did. Gives me powerful incentive to once again get back to that confident, carefree manner of creating music.Hope this encourages everyone who reads it. I'm sure most of you have a similar story to tell, and I'd LoVe to hear 'em.
