Who is showing up a day early for the Rally?

Post by kyleellen » Wed Oct 22, 2008 4:22 pm

Hi all you Road Rally Rats!I am getting that jumpy rally feeling now that we are on the verge of the start of this years trip. I would love to meet with as many of you as possible to hear what your music is about and how your dreams about that are flowing. Myself and another musician are intending on showing up early on that Thursday so I would enjoy hearing from who all is coming in the night before or early that first day. I don't care what genre of music you are into because I study the holistic healing effect of music and why people should sing everyday to increase their physical and total health. Best Wishes, Kyleellen

I think a bunch of us might be around for lunch on Thursday. Hang in the Dot lounge (the sucken bar area) and sport a Dot on your shirt so we all can connect.

Boo Hoo!!! We won't be arriving at LAX until 5:40 which totally sucks because we will most likely miss the One on One mentors that we'd prefer. When I purchased tickets that's the only flight that could accomodate 6 of us. Guess we will have to catch up with everyone in the evening But Hey..... at least we'll be there.

Hi Che - getting there late is better than not at all! There are a lot of people around that can help you out if you need some feedback on your music - many of the mentors also let you book them for one-to-one mentoring sessions during the weekend. These are not the free sessions that taxi provides, but is usually just a few bucks and are helpful (the more you know what you want out of a session the more helpful the mentor can be...)

Anne,You're correct. I'm just glad we're making it this year. I've seen it mentioned on here that there are some one on one mentoring sessions for a small fee. Just wondering how we find out about them. I've been to 4 Rally's and did not know this. I've seen the drive by (or free quickie ones), but haven't noticed that we can schedule a one on one with them personally. Do we just ask someone we are interested in talking to or is there a proper procedure to follow?

Usually folks like John Braheny, Jason Blume, CoachDebra, Ralph Murphy, etc, have tables in the book room and you can talk to them about setting up a one-on-one.
