Thursday Evening Or Friday Morning? Share a room?

I'm driving up from san diego and am considering whether or not to go Thursday Evening or Friday Morning. The main issue for me is saving the $155 room rate for thursday evening. Anyone want to share a room there at the hotel. As I remember there was so much to do that the only time I used the room was to sleep, so as long as neither are big snorers? What time does LA traffic get bad? IE when should I be there to avoid it if I leave on friday morning.Anyone know when the actual event starts? As I remember, thursday night was a huge wait to sign up and then friday morning there was nobody so that's better. Weighting options. www.myspace.com/happyron

You can register for the Rally any time over the 3.5 days. Registration (based on past experience) opens officially at 5pm Thursday. Rally opens Friday morning at 9 am with panels & classes. Only problem I can see with registering Friday morning is you can't check into your room until later, and you will likely not get a Mentor appointment, as they will probably all be booked by then.Can't comment on LA traffic as I don't live there... but the only time I've seen it be light is late at night, lolhttp://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=rallyopen&action=display&thread=9009

FYI,Just got a room at Homestead Studios (2 star hotel) 3.2 mi from the Rally hotel for $56 a night on priceline.com. Had to do the "name your price own price" thing to get that rate. Cameron

Since I'm a local, I'll be driving to the Rally each day from home, south of LAX.. so if any of y'all need a ride from your offsite hotel, and I happen to be on my way in, sure - I can give you a ride. However, since I have a little 2-seater roadster, there's not room for more than one person. PM me for contact info.
