[ahem]I'm going to stand with frodo here. I love the Forwards topic, and I've posted a few there myself [brag, brag, brag... heh heh], but I rather like the idea of relating to the ineffable [i.e. a forward ] as an uplifting entity, without the suggestion that the forward post is a pompous or arrogant boast. Though I rather do like the synonym of "cockiness" as a possibility... I'd propose a phrase from Casey's post as a subtitle:"Got a forward? Share the excitement. Post it up."

Hmm… am I right in thinking that one of the things Frodo was getting to was…. if everyone who got a forward posted it with the listing.... well, then the rest of us would learn a lot.Maybe he also felt that the use of the word ‘bragging’ in the header prevented some people from posting their forwards. Not to say there’s anything wrong with the word. Just maybe he feels it’s putting some people off posting their forwards. He may be right.I don’t know… maybe it’s just me.

Well frodo. I stand corrected. Just wishing I had something to brag about... It is very true that the more people post their forwards here, the more we all learn. and That IS something to brag about! So post up your forwards and listings, and shine!

I think of the subtitle as a fun way to disarm everyone a little. By calling it "bragging" it takes aways from that self consciousness artists often have. It's basically mentioning the white elephant in the room. It's also very much in line with the conversational, keeping-it-real tone that TAXI maintins in all of it's communication. I actually find it refreshing. And finally, I think we are overthinking it.

Only one teeny weeny problem... I never posted that... CaseyPS... Brag away all... People like us work our asses off, face way more rejection than acceptance, and are disappointed most of the time... So when something good happens, brag... by all means!!

Just to stick my oar in. As someone who had absolutely no forwards from June 2004 til December 2006, and watched week after week & month after month as others happily posted news of their forwards... I claim the right to brag that my hard work & determination have paid off and I got a forward. Cause they are all very special to me. And I think there are many of us who feel that way However, "share the excitement" would be equally palatable.
