Forum member recognition at the Rally
Hi all,One of the "problems" with the Rally is that there's several thousand attendees or whatever and forum members don't always get to see each other. Even with name tags, you could be standing right next to a forum member and not even know it. Mr Dave has an idea. For the people who wish to recogonized as forum members by other forum members, we could simply stick on a circular "price tag" color sticky on each side of our name badges. No one else would have any idea what it means but it would be obvious from across a room to another forum member. Here's a picture of what I mean...You can see by the small pic that even though you can't really read any name detail, the sticker is obvious. You see the stickie, you go up to the person... "Oh who are you?".You can get these at Wal-Mart for a little more than $1 for a whole package. I got the bright colors, easier to spot. Just stick one on each side of the name badge (because the name badges get turned around easily) and PRESTO! instant forum member recognition without anyone else knowing (outside the forum at least) what it is.I ran this by the powers that be at Taxi and they have no problem with this. So, what do the forum members think?Dave

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Even though I won't be able to attend the Rally this year, I'm one who really likes practical suggestions like this. Great idea, Dave! I'm betting you've been on various committees before.

Makes GREAT sense to me. But you can bet, sooner or later we're going to have to spill the beans about the little dots on our badges, and next thing you know...EVERYBODY will want to be on these forums.Oh, NO!!!!! Now, if only we can talk Dave into running for office. Problem solvers and idea men seem in short supply. <heeheehee>See you guys (or rather, "spot" you guys) there.Ted

Dave, been thinking about this "issue" myself. I think your solution is good because it is so simple. What's the diameter of that sticker (for those who don't know the size of bagde and thus can't judge it...)

Since no one else has any kind of sticker on their badge, anything would do. I found them in the aisle that has other labels, around the office supplies section.
