Quote:Dave's Pink Dot is attractive I watched an episode of "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy" last year and picked up a few fashion and decorating tips. I like the "Gold Star" idea forwarded by Matto though.

Actually, so did I. I REALLY did.And for all you "ultimate" members WITH deals (but not for those of you without), I'd say a gold star is JUST the ticket.I'm guessing that my dot.color chart idea was purely out of jealousy.sorry, you guys. I should stop before I get myself into deeper trouble. Ted

Well, not to get off topic but I sure hope someone tells me what it was like when they get back. I'm so glad all y'all are going (bird, great idea about the hummingbird logo on the tags, I wouldn't even have to figure out your name, I'd just know by your tag!! I could wear one next year but how attractive would that be? (dead squid)) I so shoulda picked a different name. What was I thinkin'?? Hope I get to see pics and hear stories. All y'all don't disappoint me now, heah?

You know what, Squidie? I'd actually REALLY love to see the sticker you come up with for your badge next year. I'm already chuckling over the possibilities...Ted

Wow, Dave, that is one elegantly clever idea!A newbie question:1. Please explain what a "mentor" sticker is?I'm still not 100% sure I'm going but, if so, I'm hoping brand new forum members are also encouraged to partake in this delicious exercise in clandestine operations. You probably won't know who I am, but I'll know most of you, having read your posts voraciously over the last few weeks (lots of wisdom on these pages...).

Choosing your mentor and your appointment time is part of registration when you get to the Rally & they stick a sticker on your nametag that gives you entry to the mentor event. Think about what you'd like the mentor to hear You can bring a CD and play a song for them to listen to), think about what you'd like to ask. You will be right there, shaking hands with a real mover/shaker. There is a partial list of mentors posted on the bottom of Rally page at... http://taxi.com/rally/infopage.html2 - Hey! It doesn't matter whether you joined Nov 7th 2007 or 6 years ago. This will be my third rally and both times before we've all said - see you at the rally... and then you get there and it's pretty impossible to find anyone in the crowds. So Dave's idea is really neat....!! And if you come, I hope you will walk right up to anyone wearing a dot and introduce yourself, because that's the whole point of the Rally!!! Network!!! Bring songs to share at open mics!!! Bring business cards to hand out!!! Bring at least several demos to hand to mentors and see if you can get played at panels!!! Buy me lunch!!!!H
