q,Nice sound here. I think your success will depend on whether the lister wants melody or just interesting background. One question: why stereo bass?Vince

I do not believe that this is what they meant by Americana/Alt.country/Folk. Check out artists like Steve Earle or Lucinda Williams. You may want to submit just to see what happens, but with a YES/NO listing you will not get feedback.Targeting submissions accurately has been a big part of my learning curve.Peace,Dave

Hmmm... Not really hearing Americana here. I think it might be too much of a hybrid for this listing. I do hear Americana influence as well as funk and "world" vibe and then gets into a little electronica. Hard one to pin down. That said i totally dig it, but i don't think the taxi screeners care what i dig. eo.

hey, thank you all for the feedback...I wasn't very sure for the submission... now it seems clear it was the wrong target for my piece, so I'll save 5 bucks for another one!ideascapes: I found the idea interesting to make it come out of the mix, but a friend of mine already told me that for tv or film soundtrack, that kind of stereo bass was not a very good idea...instantminstrel: I checked and I understand what you mean...I think I'll put this one aside for a "world" listing...anyway, and again, thanks for the feedback, it very helpful

Reminds me of a band called UI... kind of experimental electronic post rock stuff. Can't see it fitting within the country or americana listings. Sounds cool though.

Really different, but I'd say electronica, not Americana. It'sso different (to my ears) that it'll find a home someplace.Ott
