Dispatch Hip Hop Forwards
We submitted two instrumentals to this listing and both were forwarded.HIP HOP SONGS AND INSTRUMENTALS a la Gnarles Barkley, Common, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, etc. are needed by an Independent Production company for upcoming Film/TV projects. The producer will be screening these submissions himself. Stylistically, the range is wide open and he will consider all approaches. Here's what we subimttedCan't turn me downhttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=127123&stream=1How to do ithttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=127124&stream=1We are trying to improve our mixing. Still trying to work a few things out, but sure feels good to get another forward. Our last few regular submissions were returns. Opinions and suggestions are always welcome

Thanks I-468, elischumann and Steve. My son (17) just happened to finish these 2 right before this listing, so we gave it a shot. He's really getting good. Of course his Dad is still guiding him and I've been giving him any tip I find online and on this board. So all of the input HELPS!!!

Re: Dispatch Hip Hop Forwards
Thanks Squids! My son (and husband) will be glad that people have responded, and liked them. My poor husband said it's getting to the point where he almost can't even get a suggestion out of his mouth before my son has already tried what he was about to suggest. He has been absorbed by my son Now they do have different sounds or styles, but my husband plays the exec producer role on my sons stuff and gets my son to make sure his stuff doesn't sound "dated". So far so good, fingers crossed!

Che,May I ask how old he is? He's very talented. (uh, your son's age, not your husband. I'm sure he's still 29!). You must be such a proud mama.

Re: Dispatch Hip Hop Forwards
Yes, congrats!I gave this listing a try for my first Hip Hop production and got 2 out of 2 forwarded! Also two Beach Boys type forwards the day before.I'm trying to cover as many genres as possible...the shotgun approach. As you mentioned, since they were screened by the producer hopefully we'll have a better chance of signing a deal.

Re: Dispatch Hip Hop Forwards
Squid, he's 17 and yes I'm proud. We are actually going to LA for 6 weeks this summer to help futher his learning and maybe even make some connects to get some jobs or placements. A few forum members have offered to have him in the studio to show him some of what they know, especially in regards to mixing and engineering. Still trying to line up some more things for him to do.RLD - Congrats! wow on your first try. good job! Feel free to post a link to yours if you'd like. We are working on a country song that's kickin our butt. Don't want to sound like pop with a fiddle added :-0 so it's taking us longer than we'd hoped.
