POWER POP/PUNK SONGS forward
Got forwarded on this one, all 8's if you're keeping score-POWER POP/PUNK SONGS are sought after by the VP of A&R for an Independent record label looking for songs for a new band that plays but doesn't write their own material. They are looking to place an entire album's worth of solid material for this band's debut project. Uptempo, high energy songs are preferable, but all tempos will be considered. Please submit 2-3 songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received by Apr. 13, 2008. TAXI #S080413PKAnd here it is for you to listen to before it gets played to death on the radio.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... eam=trueIf this one works out, (and I'm sure it will), I'll be sure to post some instructional videos on YouTube about obtaining success in the music biz. I'm assuming they're just looking for a bunch of songs for the album. (That's what the kids call records these days, right?) I don't know- If they like it, maybe they'll want to hear more.?Wade

Right. Cuz they can't write. I hope their manager is smart and calls you for the rest of the project. You have a real gift in this area.

I'd love to hear it played so much that I immediately change the station when it comes on. Then I would go out & buy a whole bunch of hats. Hats made of gold that would cause damage to my neck when I wore them. And firearms, plenty of firearms to kill stuff with. And then, when the police came to arrest me, I'd give them gold hats & say "NOW GO AWAY!"Yep, that's exactly what I'd do.

Re: POWER POP/PUNK SONGS forward
Thanks guys- I forgot about the Valentine's part. I chopped out an unnecessary intro & shortened the ending a month or so ago & forgot about it. Hence the fade in. Bottom line- The song has been rejected in the past & with a couple of edits got forwarded. When I'm producing other people's tunes, arrangement changes become a very sensitive issue, even though I'm only trying to give their songs a better chance of being noticed. If they're sticky about it, I offer to give them an edited master as well as the version with the all important intro of a guy walking on gravel for 2 minutes. Thanks again...Wade
