Nice work deafeningone...besides submitting individual tracks, are you also submitting to postings as a band?Big Blue...I caught myself air guitaring "Blood Inside Me" this morning....which is good, except I was driving.

deafeningone... death metal is definitely not my "typical" style but I had fun. My preferred style is more like a mixture of Sevendust and Disturbed with some Dark New Day and the Foo Fighters topped off with a hint of Joe Satriani lol I'll also ask what devin did, are you submitting to band listings as well? I know the latest listings that came out yesterday had some band listings that I think you guys would fit. Man, I miss being in a band!I too, hope something comes out of this for both of us.devin... I guess I need to post a disclaimer on all future posts that have any links to my music that says I can not be held responsible for any actions that a person takes as a direct result of listening to my tracks. Actions to include playing air guitar while driving, the destruction of your own personal property (B.Flat), or the desctruction of someone else's personal property! LOLI must admit, I'm not too familiar with Canadian geography. What part of the country are you located at?

Hi Devin and Big Blue, I submitted to 1 listing as a band and it was a "yes/no" basis, no critiques from Taxi. That was months ago and haven't heard anything. I haven't submitted to any band listings recently because the members of Deafening are all working on different projects right now, and I'm not sure that would be fair to the lister; considering I think they want active bands. However, if there was a label or company looking to sign Deafening, we might put our other projects aside to do Deafening again. Would you recommend that I submit to band listings or do you think it would be better not to, considering Deafening is inactive right now?Big Blue you sound like someone I would like to jam with. I like all those bands you listed. My main influences have been Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and the Deftones. But I don't know if that is descriptive of my music.

If, in your heart, you feel the group would come back together and be enthusiastic about playing again in this "more recognized fashion", then you may wish to submit as a group.If you honestly felt the group cannot function well enough anymore to make it through the new challenges of the new arrangement, then the artistic side of yourself could suffer in the forced environment.If you were the key creative force in the group (and of course we all think we are/were LOL!), and you could replicate what you had with a new team, then you could consider that as well. Seeing as you are representing Deafening to us here via the Taxi boards, I'm going to guess you are an equal or majority owner of the copyright on the material...so could you perform it with another band? Would you want to?So, I think I've completely not answered your question...d'Oh! It still is a great question though...other opinions gang?P.S. Big Blue, I'm about an hour north of Buffalo, New York. In a small town (at least two dozen stoplights in our town now!) in that little piece of land between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. I'm about an hour from the downtown of Toronto.

Wow Devin. Awesome input! That helps me alot.Yes, I feel in my heart that Deafening has something enduring and in the future will make something happen.Yes I am the vocalist/guitarist of Deafening (we are a 3 piece) and the key creative force behind the songwriting; however, Deafening is a band, I am only 1/3 of Deafening, and I would not play any Deafening songs with any other group.So okay, I will submit us to a few more listings and see if anyone bites. I'm sure the other guys would be excited.Thanks again!

yo deaf one... I think I'd have fun jamming with you too. Big AIC fan, as well as Soundgarden and Deftones too. devin... cool, now I have a point of reference. I've been to Canada one time, about 7 years ago. A friend of mine and myself went to Syracuse, NY and on the way back home, we stopped off at Niagara Falls and crossed the border.
