Well, all times actually.) Just listening to your acoustic forward again. Very nice tone & feel. The one thing I dug about this listing was getting away from all of the MIDI constraints & just playing the damn guitar. Again, nice job- What guitar are you using? (My guess would be an Ovation & I'm probably wrong.?!?!?)Mine was recorded with a Martin D-18. Congratulations,Wade

You've got good ears when you guess that I'm using an Ovation. The truth is, I'm just playing an old no-name beater guitar (nothing pro). So the guitar's naturally thin tone combined with a punch I got by aiming a condenser mic at the upper bout created the Ovation-like tone. Since this song is a fingerstyle project, I was shooting for a Martin 000 sound but, oh well! Congrats again Wade on your super track! You're the man to beat today!Cheers,Allen

Re: Another other acoustic forward
Thanks for listening everyone-Allen, you got a great sound out of "beater" guitar. The main thing is that the tone & tuning are good. I've used guitars like that before & gotten good results. I don't even own an acoustic right now, so I'm on the beg, borrow & barter system. The problem with buying a decent acoustic is the $3000-$5000 that I don't have. Too bad, because I really enjoy doing these type of recordings. BTW, I listened to the David Gray reference stuff & it reminded me of Mark Knopfler's soundtrack work such as 'Cal' or 'Local Hero', so I went with that type of vibe. Knopfler's a huge influence on me, so it was a lot of fun. Finger picking too.Back to lawyers, guns, money & cars....Cheers & good luck...Wade
