This is real cool Mark...Good voice... and guitarsI would definitely add strings in the background to this part:"He sang a song so deep and wideFalcons would fly, mountains would hideUntil the rivers of change could take him somplaceHe's never been"... all thru to the next verse...and then strings back again this section:And I have a song so deep and wideFalcons will fly, mountains will hideUntil the rivers of change can take me someplaceI've never beenI've never beenBrilliant song indeed.-Kel

Really nice tune Mark. Reminds me a bit of Steve Earl. I wasn't all the way onboard during the strummed interlude; some of it sounded a bit like open mic night at the college dorm. Love the overall guitar approach and performance, other than that. Love the imagery. Thanks for putting this one up, and best of luck.ErichDid you use your Gauge on this recording?

I love the following part:On Indian RiverI saw a manFall from the skyHe fell to the riverSurfaced and laughedGave a great cryI watched him in wonderEyes like the sunNaked and strongAs I floated toward himHe disappearedInto his songI don't care for the next section.................But I love the guitar when it gets back into the verse............I love the verses of this song..................................and the guitar tone....................I don't care as much for the chorus, makes it lose momentum a little bit, but the verse picks it back up.The verses really set a GREAT scene in my mind. And the guitar tone is just terrific. Verses - B+ (nothing short of a song by God himself gets an A from me)Chorus - C-Overall - definite film pitch, IMO. I enjoyed listening.

Wow!I posted this back in February when I was doing the 14 songs in 24 days thing. It was actually a rewrite of a one I wrote...back in college, ahem ahem... Well, I wasn't surprised at the zero comments...I was doing the FAWM 14 songs in 28 days thing, so I was flooding the P2P with songs in February...meanwhile, I was rather conspicuously absent reviewing other peoples' songs. FAWM and a fulltime job will do that to ya, so the zero comments seemed fair enough to me.
