Crime Drama submission

Post by remmet » Tue May 05, 2009 6:26 am

CRIME DRAMA INSTRUMENTALS in the style of the underscore for such dramas as CSI and 24, are needed by an East Coast Music Publisher who has secured dozens of Film/TV placements for TAXI writers over the years. He is looking for mysterious and suspenseful styles that "must have a contemporary rhythm section". He'll be looking for shifts in tone, instrumentation and dynamics throughout each piece. He definitely does not want it as hyper-tempo as requested in listing # Y090512ID . He's open to any arrangement or instrumentation, as long as the tone is right. Excellent performances are absolutely necessary. He specifically said he wants to hear tracks that are :60 seconds in length. He doesn't want fadeouts, just clear endings. Broadcast quality is required [excellent-sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three compositions online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Monday, May 4, 2009. TAXI #Y090504CDHere's a piece I finished last night for this listing. If I hadn't run out of time, I might have added a bass line and some mystery guitar parts, and I may still do that at some point.Criminal Pursuitwww.richardemmet.com/Criminal_Pursuit.mp3Richard

Hey, Richard....do you have a different link for your song? The link you posted isn't working for me.

I'm not sure what the problem might be. But the piece is on my Taxi music page. Do I need to provide a password or something for you to hear it there?Richard

I really wanted to listen to your piece...sorry about that. I'll have to do some more troubleshooting. No, you don't have to give me a password. If it's listed on your TAXI hosting link, I can access that...at least, I hope, LOL.Don't worry though if it's too much trouble....I'll catch one of your songs at a later time when I do the trouble shooting.

I created a link for your song and posted it below. Take a look at it and compare it to what you place above.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... trueThanks G! I thought I had it, but I guess not. The link you posted works. I'm still wondering why the original link didn't work for Chits. But anyway, if you're still checking, Chits, try this new link. Thanks again, G.RThanks Gburgess for the link. Yes, it worked. Richard, I think this piece is great. It has a nice suspense build, and I like the way the drums and tinkling bells sounds work together. I think this is foward worthy and well targeted for the listing. Good luck!
