HIGH/UPTEMPO Collabo

This one's the new Mix for HookaCop... JB333 & K.O. collaboration.I added new beats for the climatical feel & re-remixed this for this listing. All feedback welcome cos we're always looking to improve...Hooka Cop 60secMx:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... rueorTrack no. 5 CLB1B) on:www.taxi.comPeace,Kel(a "melodious duet" vocal version of this song is also in the works) ^_^NEW LISTING -- HIGH/UPTEMPO INVESTIGATIVE DRAMA INSTRUMENTALS are needed by an East Coast Music Publisher who has secured dozens of Film/TV placements for TAXI writers over the years. He is looking for exciting, driving beds ranging from Industrial Techno Rock to Orchestral styles that have a high intensity, powerful dramatic tone. He said "percussion rules", he wants "speed" and said "make it move, make it hot" with a climactic building to the end. He's open to any arrangement or instrumentation, as long as the tone is right. Excellent performances are absolutely necessary. He specifically said he wants to hear tracks that are :60 seconds in length. He doesn't want fadeouts, just clear endings. Broadcast quality is required [excellent-sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three compositions online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Tuesday, May 12, 2009.TAXI # Y090512ID

Nice track here too.I don't know if it's fast enough (the word "speed" in the listing is a clue to me) for this listing but I think it would fit for the other one.It also doesn't really build, it stays at the same dynamic level throughout, to my ears. You guys write and mix in a certain style that is very up to date, which is cool. The key for you, in my opinion, is going to be taking that aesthetic and blending it in to a more of a score mentality (as in film/TV scoring), which means not always mixing slamming-ly hot but thinking in dynamics and textures and drama. I've only heard two pieces so maybe you are already doing that. But the two pieces I've heard were pretty much pegged to hit as close to the red as possible pretty much all the time. Again, that's great for records but TV/Film/Library stuff needs more variation in it.Excellent cutting edge sounds.Mazz

Great sounds!! Speed might be an issue as I understand the listing... however I guess they'll get enough fast songs ;-) Personally I think you bring up the "volume" too early (00:4 sec)... and at the ending I'd prefer to hear something more than just the guitar (kick and bass? ) but that's just me. Best,Panos
