Re: Industrial Forward
Congrats on all the forwards, the songs sound great!I got a return on this one after listening to these I'm hearing a lot of guitars, which mine had little. I still thought it was a good fit and not exactly sure why it was returned.Would anyone mind having a listen and giving some pointers? Is this industrial at all?Not enough dramatic pushes?too midi sounding?Blue Maniachttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=116492&stream=1 Let me know if i should just start a new thread.thanks, marc

Hi marc, I don't know about a new thread? But my opinion is one you already suspected. You're missing the guitars. That's pretty much rock in a nutshell, guitars. Yours sounds like really cool, edgy electronica.

Re: Industrial Forward
I agree with squids.Marc, I think if you get a guitar mixed into that track it would be suitable.I also agree with Squids on the title of Nils track. Nice! All three forwards sounded great. Congrats!Nick

Re: Industrial Forward
Hey marc.....listen to my first mix of redline (this was submitted for the High Octane listing):http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... m=trueThat version leans more to the electronic side, primarily synth based.Listen again above to the industrial version. I added three layers of guitars, ran them through four distortions units, added the distorted drums and the distorted synth loop. Most industrial (in my opinion) is about edgy noise. Metal on metal. Some of the artists I used as reference were Ministry (#1 in my book for industrial), Gravity Kills and Nine Inch Nails.Hope that helps.Bresky
