Re: How do these CSI-ish tunes strike ya?
New genre: Autopsy Underscore.RE: CSI1It's certainly suspenseful. Interesting shifts in texture, but still sounds like all one piece. I'd be interested to hear it with the piano muted for the first :20. There's a lot going on already; might be nice to save the piano for later.RE: CSI2The groove is kind of swingin' and happy, even though the harmonies are dark. (Is it too danceable for an autopsy? Is this a musical or ethical question?) The sound at :40 is a very different texture. I don't know if that's good or bad (the listing requests "shifts in tone" - hard to know how much is too much), but that's the one that stands out the most.Really interesting writing and textures in both tracks. I enjoyed listening to them.Cheers.

Re: How do these CSI-ish tunes strike ya?
This is outta my league, I would like to get into the suspense stuff but can't seem to get my head quite around it. That said here are my thoughts1: Nice piece, great selection of sounds, love the lead keyboard sound. This one seems like a natural for this type of placement.2: Very tribal sounding to me. The new theme that comes in at around 40sec seems a little out of place. Maybe try to make it sound more like a traditional African thumb piano? Great production quality. Seems like it could work for the listing too.3. Interesting juxtaposition of the plucky string sound (some keyboard patch layered with a nylon string guitar sample?) and the orchestral swells. Another cool piece that seems to me like it works well for this genre.Great stuff manErich

I listened to number 1 and 3. These are good tracks!Number 1: Like the intro, you have the tension going on there, but when the drums come in, I don't feel the tension that strong. Number 3: The basics are very very good, but, more dynamics and tension. Overall: The drums are very dry compared to the other instruments.
