FIRE! Epic orchestra rock
Using East West, Miroslav, EZdrummer, Logic instruments and electric guitars. 42 channels! I need to balance some things, especially the lead guitar in the second part. Hope you enjoy! This is for the epic listing .."true blood"..and so on..www.alexanderorest.com/crime.htm

I like it!Only thing I can say about the mix/EQ is that it doesn't seem to have the low-end that I'm used to hearing in your stuff.Good luck with it.Derek

Thanks Derek. Well, I haven't mixed it all together yet. I will add more strings in the low end as well as some reverb (there are no reverb at all on this one..)

Re: FIRE! Epic orchestra rock
hi Orest,The composition itself sounds very Pro to me as all of Ur other songs are too...Of course U already know to add more reverb... and low ends would be good...Is this the one they ask for Hybrid Orchestra sound? If so, I suggest to make Ur guitars sound Bigger... maybe play a harmony line to the lead Ur playing... 5ths or 3rds may give it the Brian May sound which I think will go very well with this piece... IMHOKeep up the Gr8 work! & All the best with this listing... I'm also tryna crack this one...Regards,Kel

Maybe I'll try that K.O! I think I will double the guitars in the beginning and at the as well 1 octave higher to make it fuller. This is also my first attempt using East West!

Definitely sounds Epic! Good job. I would just add some depth/reverb is all. I hope my stuff comes off as well. Time to get cranking on some tunes!

I like it Orest. Got a nice feel to it. I can see this making it through. I like the idea of the guitars. How you liking that East/West library? Already can tell the difference in sound. The only thing I'd suggest is that, when the guitar lead takes over, play some dirty sustaining power chords over the orchestral low sounds. I think it would give it the level of balls that that part wants to have.B

Re: FIRE! Epic orchestra rock
OrestI like the track overall! I like what you are doing with your new software! I worry that some of this sounds just a bit repetitious but that probably is just me. The guitar, I like the singing tone and lyrical quality. It doesn't seem quite real to me in that I don't really hear any pick/attack in the individual notes but that is probably just the guitar player in me ( me again )and I play with a lot of attack. I agree with Bryan that it needs some power chords in places. These can be open 5ths ( the Rock Chord! ). You should consider using another patch for this as well as harmony lead ( possible 5ths again ). It is rare that two players will sound exactly the same and so it would be very evident that it wasn't real. Two patches will add depth but may cause you some problems in mixing if they sound close to one another.Good Luck!Keith
