Re: String Orchestra - East/West Tips?
Oh Mazz,I was really hoping to hear from you. And seriously, I really appreciate you taking the time. That is so incredibly helpful. I will digest this and go back make all these adjustments. And you totally busted me. This was something I did when I first got Sibelius and was paying more attention to painting on the screen than really writing. When the new Cubase showed up I wanted to play with the strings and grabbed this. I think I've just gotten used to it. Very good ear! I promise not to be lazy next time around. Thanks again Mazz, so helpful! I owe you drinks at the Ralley!B

I'll probably take you up on the Bryan!! My composition teacher used to say the same things to me (still does!! LOL), at least that was after he put away his trusty eraser!! He used to just blow giant holes in my stuff but it was incredibly useful watching him take a 2 or 3 note or chord idea and put it through it's paces until it made "sense". You know it when you hear it!!Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

it's not the gear, it's the ear!

I really hope you do take me up on that Mazz. It's been a long time since I've had a composition teacher pointing out what's not working and why and I really miss that. Your keeping me focused on what's important. Thanks again.B
