Re: Adrenaline Advice Please
Yes, the reverb on those parts and the way it layers with the background reminded me of some progressive surf music, but with a metal edge. It's definitely not surf music, its a cool rock track, but I lived at the beach for many years and certain gestures and sounds now just strike me as being similar to some of the cool surf stuff I'd never heard before. It wasn't definitely not an insult.B

Re: Adrenaline Advice Please
Ok, I guess its time to wrap this thread up and move along! Thanks to all who listened and especially those that critiqued! As a side note, this is not the normal sort of thing I would write but I wanted to give it a try and I had some fun doing it. I believe that when writing instrumentals a person should envision something and try to describe it through music in an effort to communicate rather than through words or lyrics. After all art is communication. In the case of this track the subject was the heavy iron in motion on a railway. In short, its a d^mned old train song. Real original huh? One train comes by and thunders off into the distance, next train arrives and is the same thing yet different ( as trains always are ). And of course the big runaway wreck at the end. I guess I didn't do too great of a job with it. Not a problem! Thanks once again!Keith
I hear the voice of God in a bending guitar string!
