Champion
Here's a cover of a song by Scott Campbell, a writer I really dig, another internet poster like me. His version is a lot more Randy Newman-like...I kind of power balladed it.http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7458095 ChampionWhile others claim the lens and lightsAs if it's their God-given rightYou toil away in lone obscurityIn a quest to capture goldYou take the higher, harder roadThat's why you are a champion to meIt came down to one day all alongWhen with a billion looking onYou have but moments to fulfill your destinyBut of the pressure that you faceYou exhibit not a traceThat's why you are a champion to meHow many times we hear that good guys finish lastHow many times that seems the caseYet now how many times the world has seen you actWith such humility and graceIn the hype of the eventIt's sometimes easy to forgetThat after all you're just a human beingBut one of rare few who succeedIn showing us what we could beThat's why you are a champion to me(Copyright 2008 by SW Campbell)

Cool tune.. and cool performance Mark! Those harmonies at the end of 2nd Stanza remind me a bit Jellyfish (which I know really sound like Beatles, Beach Boys, and Queen though ha ha).Well crafted lyric for sure too.

Re: Champion
Yeah you might dig 'em Mark.. were around for a few albums in the early 90's with some mild hit(s). Incredible production. Their keyobard player Roger Manning went on to do the Moog Cookbook and play with Beck.
