Inspired by Orest's "Mozart goes Rock"... I wrote this Industrial Metal piece for that same listing due April:PUBLIC DOMAIN CLASSICAL PIECES a la Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, etc. are needed by an Independent Record Label for a "wacked-out" Classical Box Set project for kids that they are currently working on. This company has signed dozens of TAXI writers for use on projects distributed by Sony/BMG, Universal, EMI, etc. They would like to hear interesting and unusual renditions of classical compositions and are willing to consider almost anything that is off the beaten path. Some examples they gave are jazzed up versions of a Bach Prelude or Fugue (a la Claude Bolling) or a saxophone quartet (with or without a rhythm section) or a rock version of a movement of a Mozart piece. Please Note: They are willing to hear original or non-public domain pieces like Rachmaninoff, but really prefer known composers. If you submit originals, they must be outstanding and have the quirky edge the company is looking for. Master Quality is necessary for this one, though great home recordings should be just fine. Please submit one to three instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI and must be received no later than Thursday, April 16, 2009. Hi Kel, WOWie, I love this! I think your treatment of this piece - heavy, stomping, etc, is just fantastic and your bit of piano that comes out near the end is lovely and surprising.In the beginning you have something that sounds like a squeakly bicycle wheel which I just loved and I was really upset that it went away and something completely different took its place. Any chance of keeping that squeaky wheel theme in there somewhere, even if way in the background so that you keep that idea going? Great job!Georgie

Will keep it safe yea...Thanks Georgie... awww, sorry to upset U. I will go get back that bicycle from e thrash & put it back in use. Actually, it's an old red tricycle I've had for abt 25 years. Ur right, it should continue in the background for a bit more... it's still a good ride. Thank U so much for the keyboard advice too. I picked up the original score "Mountain King" y'day & using Ur advice, learnt it in 20mins. It's a really good song to practice right hand left coordination & it's fun yea... U are my Piano Guidance & I promise I won't use a plectrum ^_^Thanks Lydia... nice to meet U... glad to have provided some enjoyment yey! =)Thanks Orest... without U I wouldn't have come up with the idea to do this fun track... Glad that I can be an inspiration! I think this tune is quirkier than mine, and I really like your ideas! A sound scape with a lot of details! Good luck on this one!

Oh, I forgot, this tune by Grieg is a very common one amongst rock bands. It's very easy to do this one in a rock version, but yours is very unique, and I think you will win in the end by doing it your way!
