This listing asks for cover songs of artists such as Rolling Stones,Bob Dylan etc. I happen to have this cover version of Dylan's "Masters Of War" kickin' around gatherin' dust. Thought I'd post it up and see if maybe gatherin' dust may be the best place for it. It was done with a more rockin' vibe than the original folk song and we wanted to try to convey a bit more "rock angst". Anyone familiar with the original knows it's long with a repetitive melody and no bridge! So when you have 6 minutes and nothin' better to do give a listen. Any comments welcome. It's all in fun. really, really cool!!! Has a bit of a Doors vibe to it, the way you phrase the vox. Everything sounds great on this track, drums are juicy and fat, same with the gits. This sounds like a foward to me. I'm slammed right now, but want to put something up for this one really bad. Covering Hendrix, covering Dylan's 'All Along the Watchtower' would be a hoot. Cheers,

Hey thanks alot folks! First time I've heard the words "sounds like a forward" and my name in the same sentance. Thanks for takin' the time to listen.Geo,your comment "imagine submitting this today as an original" brings up an interesting point. The song is so unlike anything we are told for the formula song. I mean no chorus, no bridge, 6 min. long. I wonder if you'd get anywhere close to a listen from A+R? I know what you mean though, wish I could write words as powerful as these lyrics. Thanks again.
